24.12.09 7th International Training on Ecohydrology
The 7th International Training on Ecohydrology took place from November 25–29, 2024, at Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania. Organized by the UNESCO Chair on Ecohydrology and Transboundary Water Management, the event focused on "Climate Finance and Nature-Based Solutions: An Ecohydrology Approach." It involved facilitators from Austria, Portugal, Sweden and Tanzania, with 39 trainees participating from across Africa. Key partners included UNESCO’s Dar es Salaam Office, Wetland International and local organizations.
The training aimed to enhance understanding of ecohydrology, climate finance and nature-based solutions, equipping participants to address climate challenges and promote ecosystem sustainability. Upcoming training sessions in Tanzania and Burundi are scheduled for 2025.
